Courses with Language Supports

It’s frustrating to feel misunderstood, unheard or as though someone is speaking a different language other than you… Literally! The Canadian Mental Health Association—Calgary’s Recovery College is committed to offering inclusive programming that can meet the needs of Calgary’s diverse population. The list below indicates that a speaker of the language listed will be present throughout the delivery of the course for the purposes of informal communication and support to learners only. Although delivery of Recovery College courses in non-English languages is not currently offered, students will benefit from the ability to receive between-session check-ins in non-English, as well as the opportunity to engage in informal communication in their native language before or after sessions. If you feel your community or group could benefit from the delivery of Recovery College courses in other languages, please feel free to contact the Canadian Mental Health Association—Calgary to discuss how we can work to meet your needs.
